Thank You

Thank You, Jesus.

I am free to share my work for the sheer joy of it because my identity rests secure in the Lord.

Thank you, songwriters.

I could not have written these songs without a little help from my friends.

Riggs Powell for sharing my sentiment of wanting to get out of town and head West. We sat on a porch and wrote a song about it.

Macy Hunt for helping me complete Meet Me in Malibu and Ash. I brought my guitar over to the Hunt house on two separate occasions stuck with an unfinished song and Macy’s creative way with words provided the final touches that you hear today.

Lastly, Will Sikora. Will is a wordsmith. He sent me a nearly-complete song in California Eyes. We love writing songs together and, Lord willing, will continue to share those with you.

Thank you, producer, band, and engineer.

Brian Douglas Philips for being the Wizard of Oz on this record.

Fred Mandujano for laying it down in the rhythm section. You can’t help but groove along with him.

Jacob Hildebrand for shredding the guitar, making your ears perk up with his tasty licks.

Sean Giddings for tickling the ivory. His keys and organ add so much color.

Joe Causey for mastering the tracks and making them crisp.

All these guys are some of Austin’s finest and breathed so much life into these tunes. They all embraced Boy’s story and expressed the sentiment of the songs through their playing with excellence.

The tunes waited three years to be played by these men.

It was an honor to get to work with them.

Thank you, executive producers and donors.

This record could not have been made without you. I can’t tell you how helpful it was to be able to walk into the studio without a single financial worry. It liberated my mind to focus solely on the music. And we got to hire top notch players to work on the music.

Thank you, director/cinematographer.

Dillon Powell for dedicating his sharp eye to this project. He’s stuck around this project since its inception, hearing the songs three years ago when he sweated with me in the woods on the edge of Nashville.

Dillon filmed beautiful videos to accompany the tunes that you can watch on YouTube or on my website linked here.

Thank you, all.

For riding with me on this sonic highway.

We’ve only just hit the road.

Let’s roll our windows down and blast this music out into the world.

Sincerely,

Caswell
